Antalya Open: Bouzas Maneiro advances to semi-finals

Spaniard Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, the No 5 seed, won against Russian Polina Kudermetova 2-6, 7-5, 6-3 to reach the last four of the Antalya Open at the Megasaray Tennis Academy on Friday.

Bouzas Maneiro, ranked No 127, will play Swiss Simona Waltert next.

Earlier in the tournament, the 21-year-old Spaniard beat Hungarian Panna Udvardy (2-6, 6-3, 6-3) and qualifier Leyre Romero Gormaz (6-1, 7-5).

Kudermetova, ranked No 193, won against wildcard Anastasiia Gureva (6-2, 6-0) and German Noma Noha Akugue (6-3, 3-0 ret.) in the previous rounds of the Antalya tournament.
