Angers Open: Tauson beaten by Kessler in first round
Mccartney Kessler beat Clara Tauson 7-6 (2), 6-3 on Monday and will face the winner of the match between Romanian Patricia Maria Tig and Maltese Francesca Curmi in the next round

American Mccartney Kessler defeated Dane Clara Tauson, the No 4 seed, 7-6 (2), 6-3 to reach the second round of the Angers Open at the Arena Loire de Trélazé on Monday.
Kessler, ranked No 235, will face the winner of the match between Romanian Patricia Maria Tig and Maltese Francesca Curmi next.
