Slovenian Tamara Zidansek reached the last 16 of the WTA $125K Abierto Tampico by winning against Colombian Emiliana Arango 6-1, 7-5 on Monday.
Zidansek, ranked No 195 and a former Roland-Garros semi-finalist, will face the winner of the match between German Tatjana Maria, the No 4 seed, and Serb Nina Stojanovic next.
