Swiss Jil Teichmann moved into the last 16 of the WTA $125K Abierto Tampico by winning against Mexican wildcard Victoria Rodriguez 6-4, 6-2 on Tuesday.
Teichmann, ranked No 153, will play American qualifier Varvara Lepchenko next.
