Abierto Tampico: Stakusic upsets seventh seed Montgomery in second round
The Canadian will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz, the top seed, and Italian Lucrezia Stefanini in the next round

Canadian qualifier Marina Stakusic defeated American Robin Montgomery, the No 7 seed, 6-4, 7-6 (5) to move into the last eight of the Abierto Tampico on Wednesday.
Stakusic, ranked No 140, will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz, the top seed, and Italian Lucrezia Stefanini next.
The 19-year-old Canadian won against Ukrainian qualifier Anastasiya Sobolieva (6-2, 6-2) in the previous round.
Earlier in the week, Montgomery, ranked No 106, won against Elizabeth Mandlik (6-4, 6-2).
