Spaniard Sara Sorribes Tormo, the No 6 seed, advanced to the last 16 of the WTA $125K Abierto Tampico by winning against Mexican wildcard Ana Sofia Sanchez 6-0, 6-1 on Monday.
Sorribes Tormo, ranked No 112, will face the winner of the match between Russian Polina Kudermetova and Australian Astra Sharma next.
