Wimbledon: Tsitsipas beats Djere to reach last 16
Stefanos Tsitsipas won against Laslo Djere 6-4, 7-6 (5), 6-4 on Saturday afternoon and will play American Christopher Eubanks in the next round
Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the No 5 seed, advanced to the last 16 of Wimbledon by winning against Serb Laslo Djere 6-4, 7-6 (5), 6-4 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.
Tsitsipas, ranked No 5, will face American Christopher Eubanks next.
The Greek beat Austrian Dominic Thiem (3-6, 7-6 (1), 6-2, 6-7 (5), 7-6 (8)) and Andy Murray (7-6 (3), 6-7 (2), 4-6, 7-6 (3), 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds of The Championships, Djere, ranked No 60, edged out American Maxime Cressy (6-7 (5), 7-6 (3), 7-6 (8), 7-6 (7)) and defeated American Ben Shelton, the No 32 seed (3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (5), 6-3).
