Last year’s quarter-finalist Tomljanovic advances into Wimbledon third round

Australian Ajla Tomljanovic reached the third round of Wimbledon by defeating American qualifier Catherine Harrison 6-2, 6-2 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Thursday.

Tomljanovic, ranked No 44 in the world, achieved her best result at a Major at Wimbledon last year – making a run all the way to the quarter-finals.

She will next meet either Swiss Viktorija Golubic or Czech Barbora Krejcikova, the No 13 seed for a place in the round of 16.
