Wimbledon: Struff edges Zhang in tight second-round clash

German Jan-Lennard Struff edged out Chinese Zhizhen Zhang, the No 32 seed, 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (1), 7-6 (8) to move into the third round of Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Wednesday evening.

Struff, ranked No 41, will face Russian Daniil Medvedev, the No 5 seed, next.

In the previous round of The Championships, the 34-year-old German defeated Hungarian Fabian Marozsan (6-4, 6-7 (4), 6-2, 6-3).

Zhang, ranked No 38, won against French qualifier Maxime Janvier (7-6 (4), 6-3, 6-2) in the first round of The Championships.
