Wimbledon: Holger Rune reaches third round

Dane Holger Rune, the No 15 seed, reached the third round of Wimbledon by beating Brazilian Thiago Seyboth Wild 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Thursday evening.

Rune, ranked No 15, will face the winner of the match between French qualifier Quentin Halys and Russian Karen Khachanov, the No 21 seed, next.

The 21-year-old Dane won against SoonWoo Kwon (6-1, 6-4, 6-4) in the previous round of The Championships.

During the first round of The Championships, Seyboth Wild, ranked No 74, overhauled the situation against wildcard Paul Jubb (1-6, 3-6, 7-6 (6), 6-4, 7-5).
