Wimbledon: Rublev beats Purcell in straight sets for solid start to campaign

Andrey Rublev, the No. 7 seed, got off to a confident start to his Wimbledon campaign, reaching the second round by winning against Australian Max Purcell 6-3, 7-5, 6-4 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.
The Russian will face the winner of the match between Frenchman Luca Van Assche and compatriot Aslan Karatsev next.
