Wimbledon: Putintseva through to third round, could face Swiatek next
Yulia Putintseva defeated Katerina Siniakova 6-0, 4-6, 6-2 on Thursday and will play the winner of the match between Pole Iga Swiatek, the top seed, and Croat Petra Martic in the next round

Kazakh Yulia Putintseva moved into the third round of Wimbledon by winning against No 27 seed Katerina Siniakova 6-0, 4-6, 6-2 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Thursday.
Putintseva, ranked No 35, will play the winner of the match between Pole Iga Swiatek, the top seed, and Croat Petra Martic next.
The Kazakh beat German wildcard Angelique Kerber (7-5, 6-3) in the previous round of The Championships.
In the first round of The Championships, Siniakova, ranked No 36, won against Canadian qualifier Marina Stakusic (6-4, 6-2).
