Wimbledon: Nakashima upsets 18th seed Baez to reach second round

American Brandon Nakashima advanced to the second round of Wimbledon by defeating Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the No 18 seed, 6-2, 6-3, 6-4 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Monday.

The American had a difficult time at the majors last year, losing in the first round four times.

Nakashima, ranked No 65, will face the winner of the match between Russian Pavel Kotov and Australian Jordan Thompson next.
