Wimbledon: Milos Raonic wins first Grand Slam match since 2021 Australian Open

He’s back! And into round two… Canadian Milos Raonic beat Austrian Dennis Novak 6-7 (5), 6-4, 7-6 (5), 6-1 to move into the second round of Wimbledon at the All England Club in London on Wednesday afternoon.

Raonic was out for nearly two years prior to making his return to the grass this summer at ‘s-Hertogenbosch. This was his first win at a Major since reaching the last 16 at the Australian Open in 2021.

Here at Wimbledon, the 2016 runner-up improves to 28-9 lifetime. He has reached the second week five times and the quarter-finals four times.

Raonic will play American Tommy Paul, the No 16 seed, next.
