Wimbledon: Medvedev through to quarter-finals as Lehecka retires injured

Daniil Medvedev, the No. 3 seed, reached the quarter-finals of Wimbledon when Jiri Lehecka retired from the match
Medvedev led 6-4, 6-2 when Lehecka, ranked No. 37, pulled out on Monday at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London.
The Russian will play the winner of the match between American Christopher Eubanks and Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the No. 5 seed, next.
Daniil Medvedev won against wildcard Arthur Fery (7-5, 6-4, 6-3), Frenchman Adrian Mannarino (6-3, 6-3, 7-6 (5)) and Hungarian Marton Fucsovics (4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds of The Championships, Jiri Lehecka beat Austrian wildcard Sebastian Ofner (6-4, 6-4, 6-4), Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No. 18 seed (6-2, 6-2, 6-2) and American Tommy Paul, the No. 16 seed (6-2, 7-6 (2), 6-7 (5), 6-7 (9), 6-2).
