21-year-old Jiri Lehecka notches maiden Wimbledon win

Jiri Lehecka beat Austrian wildcard Sebastian Ofner 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 to reach the second round of Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Wednesday.

The victory marks the first main draw win at SW19 for the 21-year-old, who reached the quarter-finals at the Australian Open earlier this year.

The Czech cracked 23 winners against 23 unforced to close out his victory in one hour and 39 minutes.

Lehecka, ranked No 37, will play the winner of the match between Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 18 seed, and Portuguese Nuno Borges next.
