Wimbledon: Karatsev moves into second round

Russian Aslan Karatsev advanced to the second round of Wimbledon by edging out Frenchman Luca Van Assche 6-7 (4), 6-4, 6-2, 6-4 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Monday.

Karatsev, ranked No 50, will play Russian Andrey Rublev, the No 7 seed, next.

Play resumes on Court 7 after a rain delay and two points are enough for Karatsev to defeat Van Assche and book a meeting with Rublev.
