Chilean Nicolas Jarry, the No 25 seed, defeated Italian Marco Cecchinato 4-6, 6-2, 6-4, 6-1 to move into the second round of Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Thursday.
Jarry, ranked No 28, will face Australian Jason Kubler next.
