Wimbledon: Hurkacz first man into last 16, meets Djokovic next
The Pole won against Lorenzo Musetti 7-6 (4), 6-4, 6-4 on Friday
Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz, the No 17 seed, moved into the fourth round of Wimbledon by defeating Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 14 seed, 7-6 (4), 6-4, 6-4 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Friday afternoon.
The Pole has not dropped a set in his first three matches at Wimbledon this year. Earlier in the tournament, he won against Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas (6-1, 6-4, 6-4) and wildcard Jan Choinski (6-4, 6-4, 7-6 (3)).
Hurkacz, ranked No 18, will face seven-time champion Novak Djokovic, of Serbia, next.
Musetti, ranked No 16, beat Peruvian Juan Pablo Varillas (6-3, 6-1, 7-5) and Spaniard Jaume Munar (6-4, 6-3, 6-1) in the previous rounds of The Championships.
