Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, the No 13 seed, moved into the last 16 of Wimbledon by winning against Romanian Sorana Cirstea 6-2, 6-2 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club..
Haddad Maia, ranked No 13, will play the winner of the match between wildcard Katie Boulter and Kazakh Elena Rybakina, the No 3 seed, next.
The Brazilian edged out Kazakh Yulia Putintseva (3-6, 6-0, 6-4) and Romanian Jaqueline Cristian (4-6, 6-2, 6-4) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds of The Championships, Cirstea, ranked No 37, beat German Tatjana Maria (6-1, 2-6, 6-3) and edged out Latvian Jelena Ostapenko, the No 17 seed (4-6, 7-6 (6), 6-4).
