Serb Novak Djokovic, the second seed, beat Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 25 seed, 6-4, 7-6 (2), 6-4 to advance to the final of Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Friday evening.
Djokovic, ranked No 2, will play Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, the No 3 seed, next.
Ahead of his victory, the 37-year-old Serb won against qualifier Vit Kopriva (6-1, 6-2, 6-2), wildcard Jacob Fearnley (6-3, 6-4, 5-7, 7-5), Australian Alexei Popyrin (4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (3)), Dane Holger Rune, the No 15 seed (6-3, 6-4, 6-2) and Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 9 seed (W/O).
Musetti, ranked No 25, defeated Frenchman Constant Lestienne (4-6, 7-6 (4), 6-2, 6-2), Luciano Darderi (6-4, 4-6, 6-7 (5), 6-4, 6-4), Argentinian Francisco Comesana (6-2, 6-7 (4), 7-6 (3), 6-3), French lucky loser Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard (4-6, 6-3, 6-3, 6-2) and American Taylor Fritz, the No 13 seed (3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-2, 3-6, 6-1) in the previous rounds of The Championships.
