Wimbledon: Alex de Minaur pushes into third round
Alex De Minaur won against Jaume Munar 6-2, 6-2, 7-5 on Thursday and will play the winner of the match between Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis and French qualifier Lucas Pouille in the next round

Australian Alex de Minaur, the No 9 seed, won against Spaniard Jaume Munar 6-2, 6-2, 7-5 to reach the third round of Wimbledon for the third time.
De Minaur, ranked No 9, will play the winner of the match between Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis and French qualifier Lucas Pouille next. He improves to 35-12 overall in 2024 with his victory.
The Australian beat lucky loser James Duckworth (7-6 (1), 7-6 (3), 7-6 (4)) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round of The Championships, Munar, ranked No 63, won against wildcard Billy Harris (6-4, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3).
