Wimbledon: Walton falls to Rublev’s conqueror Comesana

Argentinian Francisco Comesana advanced to the third round of Wimbledon by winning against Australian Adam Walton 7-5, 1-6, 6-7 (12), 6-1, 7-6 (8) at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Thursday.

Comesana, ranked No 122, will face the winner of the match between Luciano Darderi and No 25 seed Lorenzo Musetti next.

The Argentinian edged out Russian Andrey Rublev, the No 6 seed (6-4, 5-7, 6-2, 7-6 (5)) in the previous round of The Championships.

In the previous round of The Championships, Walton, ranked No 101, defeated Argentinian Federico Coria (6-3, 6-3, 7-5).
