Wimbledon: Blinkova books spot in second round
Anna Blinkova won against Yanina Wickmayer 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 on Wednesday evening and will face the winner of the match between Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu, the No 29 seed, and Canadian Rebecca Marino in the next round

Russian Anna Blinkova beat Belgian qualifier Yanina Wickmayer 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 to move into the second round of Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Wednesday evening.
Blinkova, ranked No 40, will play the winner of the match between Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu, the No 29 seed, and Canadian Rebecca Marino next.
