Wimbledon: Azarenka eases past Kasatkina to reach last 16, plays Svitolina in battle of WTA moms

Belarusian Victoria Azarenka, the No 19 seed, defeated Russian Daria Kasatkina, the No 11 seed, 6-2, 6-4 to reach the last 16 of Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London.

Azarenka, ranked No 20, will play Ukrainian wildcard Elina Svitolina next.

Earlier in the tournament, the 33-year-old Belarusian edged out Chinese qualifier Yue Yuan (6-4, 5-7, 6-4) and won against Argentinian Nadia Podoroska (6-3, 6-0).

Kasatkina, ranked No 10, beat American Caroline Dolehide (6-1, 6-4) and wildcard Jodie Burrage (6-0, 6-2) in the previous rounds of The Championships.
