Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, the No 3 seed, won against American Tommy Paul, the No 12 seed, 5-7, 6-4, 6-2, 6-2 to move into the semi-finals of Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Tuesday.
Alcaraz, ranked No 3, will play Russian Daniil Medvedev, the No 5 seed, next.
The 21-year-old Spaniard defeated Estonian qualifier Mark Lajal (7-6 (3), 7-5, 6-2), Australian Aleksandar Vukic (7-6 (5), 6-2, 6-2), American Frances Tiafoe, the No 29 seed (5-7, 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 (2), 6-2) and Frenchman Ugo Humbert, the No 16 seed (6-3, 6-4, 1-6, 7-5) ahead of his victory.
In the previous rounds of The Championships, Paul, ranked No 13, beat Spaniard Pedro Martinez (6-2, 6-1, 4-6, 6-3), Finnish qualifier Otto Virtanen (4-6, 6-3, 5-7, 7-5, 6-4), Kazakh Alexander Bublik, the No 23 seed (6-3, 6-4, 6-2) and Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut (6-2, 7-6 (3), 6-2).
