Tsitsipas and Badosa headline Wimbledon mixed doubles draw
A budding romance between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa has fueled an appearance in the mixed doubles draw at Wimbledon.
Tennis’ hottest new power couple will take their talents to the mixed doubles court later this Wimbledon fortnight – great news for fans who enjoy following the ever popular #Tsitsidosa hashtag.
For the first time, Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas will take their place in a Grand Slam draw next to each other, but they’ll be up against it from the moment play starts, as they’ve been drawn to face the top-seeded tandem of Jessica Pegula and Austin Krajicek in the opening round of the Wimbledon mixed doubles draw.

Krajicek, fresh off the Roland-Garros men’s doubles title, is the current ATP No1 doubles player. Pegula and Krajicek reached the mixed doubles semi-finals at the 2021 US Open.
Other notable singles players in the mixed draw are Canada’s Bianca Andreescu, who reached the final at Roland-Garros, with partner Michael Venus. Leylah Fernandez will partner with Dutch doubles phenom Wesley Koolhof.
American Taylor Townsend, who reached the Roland-Garros doubles draw with Fernandez, will play alongside Great Britain’s Jamie Murray.
American Desirae Krawczyk and Great Britain’s Ken Skupski are the No.2 seeds.
