Ostapenko on the charge, beats Dodin to make second round

Latvian Jelena Ostapenko, the No 12 seed, won against Frenchwoman Oceane Dodin 6-4, 6-4 to move into the second round of Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Tuesday.
Ostapenko, ranked No 17, will play the winner of the match between Belgian qualifier Yanina Wickmayer and Chinese Lin Zhu next.
Ostapenko, the French Open champion in 2017, reached the Wimbledon semi-finals in 2018, but has not been beyond the third round in SW19 since then.
