Andy Murray struggled to close out his match on Day 1, but eventually got past No 24 seed Nikoloz Basilashvili to earn his first Wimbledon singles victory in four years.

- What happened? Andy Murray claimed his first singles win at Wimbledon since 2017.
- Why it matters? The two-time Wimbledon champion improves to 58-10 lifetime at Wimbledon. It was his first Grand Slam appearance since falling to Stan Wawrinka at Roland-Garros last autumn.
