Hosted by Jenny Drummond, this programme is essential – go behind the scenes and find out everything you need to know about the final Grand Slam of 2020.
In this fifth show, Jenny hosts tennis journalist Simon Cambers, coach Patrick Mouratoglou, WTA player Alizé Lim and equipment expert Seb Proisy.
‘Struggling’
Cambers reflects on Alexander Zverev’s controversial appearance while showing symptoms of sickness, Elina Svitolina’s chances in a wide-open women’s draw, and a win for Dominic Thiem.
“Thiem had to really dig deep,” said Cambers. “He was berating himself, he was getting furious.
“I wonder if the after-effects of the US Open were starting to affect him. He was jaded. He was struggling. It’ll be interesting to see how he bounces back from here.”
‘Future’
Mouratoglou talks about all the fourth-round shocks so far – including the manner of Simona Halep’s defeat to Iga Swiatek.
“Yes, Swiatek has a great future,” said the Frenchman. “She’s a player we must count on in the future, for sure.”
Lim lifts the curtain on life on tour as two qualifiers make the women’s quarter-finals and players start to indulge their hobbies – and Seb Proisy analyses racket choices across the tournament.
And get a sneak preview of the next episode of Match Points – where Josh Cohen, Noah Rubin and Ben Rothenberg discuss the future of tennis in a time of pandemic.
