Thiem, Tiafoe and Monfils headline the show as UTS returns to Frankfurt in October
The first three players for UTS Frankfurt have been confirmed – with tickets on sale soon
UTS is returning to Frankfurt – with Dominic Thiem, Frances Tiafoe and Frenchman Gael Monfils headlining the field.
The trio have signed up for the eight-man competition, which will be held in the 5,000-seat Suwag Energie Arena from October 17-20, 2024.
The winner of the event will qualify automatically for the season-ending UTS Grand Final. Andrey Rublev is already going to be there, having beaten Alex de Minaur, “The Demon”, in the final of Oslo, the first stop on the UTS Tour in 2024. UTS will also be in New York for the first time, on August 22-23, before Frankfurt takes centre stage.
Dominic “Dominator” Thiem returns to UTS for a third time, having played in the first event in 2020 and in the Oslo competition in 2024, while Frances “Big Foe” Tiafoe is back, after revelling on his debut in UTS Loas Angeles last year.
Four days, more sessions, more money
The high-octane, groundbreaking format will be played out over four days – with more sessions than last year, when a sell-out crowd were wowed as Andrey “Rublo” Rublev beat Grigor “G-Unit” Dimitrov to take the title.
Eight tennis superstars will compete in two round-robin groups, with the top two in each group moving through to the semi-finals – all competing for a share of the total prize pot of $1.665 million, with a maximum $421,800 available to the winner.
Tickets will go on sale on Thursday 28 March, at noon, with prices starting at 29 euros per day. Tickets for the All Star Game start at 19 euros.
