Musetti wins in sudden death against Struff to complete clean sweep

Lorenzo “The Illusionist” Musetti completed a clean sweep of the UTS Frankfurt group stage, finishing in top spot after beating Jan-Lennard Struff 9-18,12-14, 16-14, 14-12, 2-0 in sudden death.
The Illusionist bounced back from two quarters down to snatch a victory from the big-serving German. He will play either Denis Shapovalov or Ugo Humbert in the semi-finals.
“I didn’t deserve to win this match,” Musetti said afterwards. “Jan was so aggressive on the serve…he was playing such a high level. It can be really tricky in sudden death…it can turn around a match really quick.
“It is really nice to be in the semis. It was a tough match. Struffi was so aggressive. But I fought hard. In the end it was a bit of Russian roulette but I got the win.”
