Adrian Mannarino picked up his second win in Group A of UTS Guadalajara at the Centro Panamericano de Tenis on Saturday night. “Manna” got the best of Richard Gasquet 18-12, 16-11, 15-17, 17-14 to boost his semi-final hopes while eliminating the “Virtuoso” from contention.

Mannarino will advance unless Fabio Fognini sweeps Casper Ruud 3-0 later in the day.

The left-hander received treatment for a back issue prior to the fourth quarter against Gasquet, but he insists that he will be ready to go if his UTS life continues into the semis.

“I’m not that bad,” Mannarino assured. “I had some kind of spasm in the back. Some movements I had pain and some movements I felt free. I don’t think it’s that bad. After a good night, I’ll be ready to play tomorrow.”

Gasquet, who will retire at Roland-Garros this season, played his final match in Latin America.

“I stop tennis in four months, but I will have great memories (from) coming here,” he told the crowd. “It was crazy. Such a nice experience. I hope to come back here and watch all the great players. Thanks for everything and see you soon.”
