Chris “The Rocket” Eubanks completes UTS Frankfurt line-up

UTS Frankfurt will take place from September 15 to 17, 2023, and Christopher Eubanks is the eighth and final player to be announced by the competition organisers

Although UTS Los Angeles only came to a close just over a week ago with the victory of Yibing “The Great Wall” Wu, it’s already time to look ahead to the second stage of this year’s tour – in Frankfurt.

And on Thursday, the organisers announced the name of the eighth and final player who will complete the cast in Germany from September 15 to 17 at the Suwag Energie Arena.

It’s Christopher Eubanks, currently ranked 29th in the world and a recent quarter-finalist at Wimbledon, his best Grand Slam result so far. The American player, who took part with Frances Tiafoe and Ben Shelton in “All On The Table: Tennis Talk Like Never Before”, a talk aired on UTS YouTube, will be nicknamed “The Rocket”.

This is his first appearance in Ultimate Tennis Showdown. He joins Daniil “The Chessmaster” Medvedev, Monte-Carlo Masters 1000 winner Andrey “Rublo” Rublev, Wimbledon 2022 finalist Nick “King” Kyrgios, Gaël “La Monf” Monfils, Diego “El Peque” Schwartzman, Benoît “The Rebel” Paire and Reilly “The Bot” Opelka.

Frankfurt will be the second leg of the 2023 UTS season. The other two events will take place in Asia/Middle East (December 1-3), before a grand final between December 8 and 10, for which the winner of the Frankfurt leg will automatically qualify. The venue for the final will be announced shortly by the organizers.

Tickets for UTS Frankfurt are now on sale on the official website, with prices starting from 29 euros. With the format of the competition, all ticket holders are guaranteed to see each of the eight players in action on September 15 and 16.
