Spaniard Bernabe Zapata Miralles reached the second round of the US Open by defeating American wildcard Ethan Quinn 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York on Monday.
Zapata Miralles, ranked No 76, has set a second round match against 23-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic, who defeated Frenchman Alexandre Muller on Monday night.
