Hungry like the Wolf! Wild card upsets Bautista Agut in first shock of 2022 US Open

American wildcard J.J. Wolf won against Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut, the No 16 seed, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 to reach the second round of the US Open at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City on Monday evening.

The American hit 46 winners compared to his opponent’s 22, and 14 aces compared to his opponent’s six.

Wolf, ranked No 87, will face the winner of the match between Chilean Alejandro Tabilo and Pole Kamil Majchrzak next.
