US Open: Wang moves into second round
Xinyu Wang won against Arina Rodionova 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 on Tuesday evening and will play the winner of the match between Kazakh Yulia Putintseva, the No 30 seed, and Linda Noskova in the next round

Chinese Xinyu Wang reached the second round of the US Open by winning against Australian qualifier Arina Rodionova 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 in New York on Tuesday evening.
Wang, ranked No 40, will face the winner of the match between Kazakh Yulia Putintseva, the No 30 seed, and Linda Noskova next.
