Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the No 6 seed, won against American qualifier Catherine Harrison 6-1, 6-3 to move into the second round of the US Open at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City on Tuesday.
Sabalenka, ranked No 6, will face Estonian Kaia Kanepi in the second round.
