US Open: Paul defeats Sonego, reaches second round
Tommy Paul won against Lorenzo Sonego (6-4, 6-2, 5-7, 6-2) on Tuesday in the first round of the US Open.

American Tommy Paul, the No 14 seed, beat Italian Lorenzo Sonego (6-4, 6-2, 5-7, 6-2), who clinched the Winston-Salem title a few days ago, to advance to the second round of the US Open on Tuesday.
Paul, ranked No. 14, will play Max Purcell next for a spot in the third round.
