US Open: Mannarino edges past Watanuki to make second round
Adrian Mannarino edged out Yosuke Watanuki 7-5, 6-7 (3), 6-3, 7-5. He’ll face Hungarian Fabian Marozsan in the next round

Frenchman Adrian Mannarino, the No 22 seed, edged out Japanese Yosuke Watanuki 7-5, 6-7 (3), 6-3, 7-5 to advance to the second round of the US Open at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York.
Mannarino, ranked No 35, will play Hungarian Fabian Marozsan next.
