US Open: Kwon into second round
SoonWoo Kwon won against Fernando Verdasco 6-2, 6-7 (4), 6-3, 6-3 on Tuesday and will face the winner of the match between Serb Laslo Djere and Russian Andrey Rublev, the No 9 seed, in the next round

SoonWoo Kwon won against Spanish lucky loser Fernando Verdasco 6-2, 6-7 (4), 6-3, 6-3 to reach the second round of the US Open at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City on Tuesday.
Kwon, ranked No 81, will play the winner of the match between Serb Laslo Djere and Russian Andrey Rublev, the No 9 seed, next.
