US Open: Ivashka upsets eighth seeded Hurkacz to reach third round for second year running

Belarusian Ilya Ivashka reached the third round of the US Open by defeating the No 8 seed Hubert Hurkacz in four sets at the US Open on Thursday.
Ivashka, ranked No 73 in the world, won 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3 in three hours and five minutes to reach the third round at Flushing Meadows for the second year in a row.
The Belarusian had also needed four sets to defeat American wildcard Sam Querrey (4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (8), 6-3) in the first round of the US Open.
Ivashka will next meet the No 26 seed Lorenzo Musetti for a place in the round of 16.
