US Open: Garin books spot in second round, De Minaur next

Chilean Cristian Garin reached the second round of the US Open by defeating Czech Jiri Lehecka 3-6, 7-6 (3), 7-5, 6-1 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City on Monday.

Garin, ranked No 82, will play Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 18 seed, next, two months after their big battle at Wimbledon, won by Garin.
