US Open: Dimitrov books spot in second round, defeating Johnson
Grigor Dimitrov won against Steve Johnson 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 on Tuesday and will play the winner of the match between American Brandon Nakashima and Russian qualifier Pavel Kotov in the next round

Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 17 seed, won against American Steve Johnson 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 to reach the second round of the US Open at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City on Tuesday.
Dimitrov, ranked No 19, will face the winner of the match between American Brandon Nakashima and Russian qualifier Pavel Kotov next.
