Argentinian Francisco Comesana moved into the second round of the US Open by beating Swiss Dominic Stricker 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (4), 6-3.

Comesana, ranked No 108, will face Frenchman Ugo Humbert, the No 17 seed, next.
