US Open: Arnaldi powers past wildcard Svajda

Italian Matteo Arnaldi, the No 30 seed, won against American wildcard Zachary Svajda 6-3, 6-2, 6-1 to move into the second round of the US Open in New York on Tuesday.

Arnaldi, ranked No 30, will face the winner of the match between American wildcard Matthew Forbes and Russian Roman Safiullin next.
