Czech Katerina Siniakova advanced to the second round of the French Open by beating Croat Petra Martic 6-4, 7-6 [6] at Stade Roland-Garros in Paris on Sunday afternoon.
Siniakova, ranked No 47, will face the winner of the next match between Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic and Canadian Leylah Fernandez next.
