Argentinian Diego Schwartzman beat Andrey Kuznetsov 6-3, 1-6, 6-4, 6-2 to move into the second round of Roland-Garros, on Sunday.
Schwartzman, ranked No 16, will play Spaniard Jaume Munar next.
In the qualifications of the French Open, Kuznetsov, ranked No 227, won against Ryan Peniston (6-2, 6-2), American Tennys Sandgren (6-1, 7-6 [4]) and Argentinian Marco Trungelliti (6-4, 4-6, 6-2).
