Italian Jasmine Paolini, the No 12 seed, advanced to the second round of Roland-Garros by beating Australian Daria Saville 6-3, 6-4 at Roland-Garros in Paris on Monday.
Paolini, ranked No 15, will play the winner of the match between lucky loser Hailey Baptiste and Kayla Day next.
