Austrian qualifier Sebastian Ofner moved into the last 16 of Roland-Garros by defeating Italian Fabio Fognini 5-7, 6-3, 7-5, 1-6, 6-4 in Paris on Friday afternoon.

Ofner, ranked No 118, will face the winner of the match between Argentinian Diego Schwartzman and Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the No 5 seed, next.

The Austrian won against American Maxime Cressy (6-4, 7-6 (6), 6-2) and American Sebastian Korda, the No 24 seed (6-3, 7-6 (1), 6-4) ahead of his victory.

In the previous rounds, Fognini, ranked No 130, beat Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the No 10 seed (6-4, 6-4, 6-3) and Australian Jason Kubler (6-4, 7-6 (5), 6-2).
